It's Celebration Season!
May to July is full of big celebrations - so whether it be for Mother's Day, Graduation season, Father's Day, the 4th of July or even for National Mimosa Day - this mimosa mocktail is the perfect drink to make sure everyone can say cheers!
Alcohol Free!
There's no need for alcohol with this recipe! We combine our Sparkling Raspberry Wine tea with seltzer water and some juice for a spirit-free option that tastes just as delicious as the real thing!
Our Sparkling Raspberry Wine tea is a sophisticated selection of white tea, red raspberries, and natural champagne flavors making this tea a fine choice. Fruity and floral notes mingle with delicate white tea for a light and fragrant cup. It works well hot or iced and can be combined with sparkling water and fruit juice for an easy mocktail.
Of course, if you do want to turn this mimosa mocktail into a cocktail, simply replace the seltzer water in this recipe with champagne or sparkling wine. We will admit that when we tried this, the sparkling wine overpowered the taste of the Sparkling Raspberry Wine tea, however we did get slight notes throughout. We would recommend trying some other tea options in place of the Sparkling Raspberry Wine tea, such as our Raspberry Cherry Compote fruit tisane or Strawberry Kiwi fruit tisane. If you substitute the tea, you won't need any fruit juice - but feel free to experiment to find your perfect combo!
"Really tasty, tastes just like raspberry wine. Can smell and taste the grape flavor. Cold steeped the white tea flavor really comes through, somewhat overpowers the grape & raspberry flavors. Cold steeped with extra stevia + sparkling water = YUM!" -Carrie
Take a Flight
A simple mix of orange juice and sparkling white wine or champagne results in a drink that has made its way onto most brunch menus: the mimosa. According to the Food Network, "the mimosa cocktail is named for the yellow flower of the Mimosa tree, because the drink resembles the flower’s color".Â
If you've been to one of our cafes in Upstate NY, you've probably seen our mimosa flights on our menu. We offer 6 other flavor variations besides the classic mimosa, including: green apple. passionfruit, wildberry, strawberry, peach and guava.
Mimosa flights are a great way to try different options and find your favorite(s).Â
Endless Variations
A traditional Mimosa involves a mix of orange juice and champagne/sparkling wine. A similar variation is called a bellini, which uses peach puree instead of orange juice. There are plenty of variations on the mimosa cocktail recipe, including but not limited to:
- Poinsettia: Uses cranberry juice instead of orange juice
- Lemonsa: Uses lemonade instead of orange juice
- Soleil: Uses pineapple juice instead of orange juice
- Megmosa: Uses grapefruit juice instead of orange juice
- Vermosa: Uses apple cider instead of orange juice
The options of which juice you combine with your champagne or sparkling water are endless! We use a raspberry juice syrup for this recipe, but you can use any juice that you like.
