Pure Black Teas
Pure black tea is either single source variety or a blend of different teas. They are all unflavored with no other ingredients. Each of these teas has a wide range of styles and origin. Stronger teas are usually the Assamica variety - those from Indian and Africa. Assam and Darjeeling are some of the famous growing regions. Ceylon teas are known for their bright, piquant characteristics. The Chinese varieties (Camelia) vary widely. They aren't as strong as their Indian counterparts, but have distinctive flavor notes not found in other black teas. We recommend sampling different varieties to get a feel for the different styles.
