Mokalbari East Assam

Black Tea

The Mokalbari tea estate in India is highly regarded as a top producer of Assam teas. This Mokalbari East Assam black tea is from second flush leaves, giving it a vigorously malty flavor with notes of fruit and honey. Its bold strength holds up to a touch of milk, and makes an excellent breakfast tea. TGFOP1 grade.

A smooth Assam

Mokalbari Assam has become my favorite afternoon cup. Smooth with little bite

My Morning Choice

I fill my teapot with half English Breakfast and half Mokalbari East Assam, and that sets me up for the day. The flavor is mild but delicious. If I want a stronger cuppa I mix this Assam with Irish breakfast tea. Perfect start to the day.

A great tea

Not a dark, malty Assam, but a bright one with just the right amount of depth.

Average Assam for better than average price

A twiggy TGFOP1 that is not as complex nor as complex as GTGFOP1 Mokalbari. It's worth it as a daily tea for the cost is well-priced.

One of my go-to morning teas

This is the perfect breakfast tea. The flavor is rich and pleasing without milk or sweetener. I find brewing it for 8-9 minutes works well because I love a strong cup of tea in the morning! Even at 8-9 minutes of steeping, there are no sharp notes.
