Subtle and taste the tea flavor but seems more in the bitter end.

This is the pure leaf, unflavored version. I haven’t had other purple leaf tea to compare this to, but I was excited to try this type. Unfortunately, there was hardly any flavor at all for me. Maybe it has more flavor brewing gongfu style, but I did western style as directed on the bag, and it tasted very bland to me. I tried adding a bit of sugar, but that still didn’t bring out any clear notes. I appreciated that it wasn’t bitter, funky, or vegetal, but it didn’t taste like anything but similar to weak black tea to me.

I like this one a lot. I've tried ONE other Kenyan tea previously but it was harsh-tasting-- almost bitter. Consequently, I went with 180/2 the first time around. Next time I made a cup, I tried 180/3 which works equally as well as far as taste. To me this tea has a light mineral taste, not unlike a rock oolong from the Wuyi area of China. Very nice. AND, I love that it's low caff. I don't have enough actual Camellia sinensis in the low caff category-- more herbals/tisanes and a few select white teas.

This purple tea has great nutty and chocolate flavors! Slightly more vegtable than floral. The only reason I'm not rating this a 5, is that the flavor was a bit weak and requires a bit more leaf than I would use on average.

Thought that I would really like this tea, but it lefty me a little flat. Strong woodsy taste and not much else. Was expecting something more.

This is a great morning tea to get the day started. I add some sugar free dried blueberries to a fresh cup, so I have a healthy little snack at the bottom of the cup! A nice tea spoon in my tea ball gives me a full bodied cup of tea without too much caffeine. Perfect before your morning meditation or after a session of yoga, especially while the weather is cool. I also put two or three threads of saffron for a heavenly punch of flavor. Enjoy!!

I love this tea!!!

I don't like coffee but wanted a healthy hot drink option. I tried several flavors of tea and this one was by far the best. Such a light smooth flavor. Not bitter at all if you follow the brewing directions.

Absolutley phenomenal tea, similar to a green tea with the complexity and slight bite of tannin similar to that of a black tea. Pairs amazingly with orange peel and a touch of lemon juice.

I enjoy this tea very much and highly recommend it!
It has a smooth, slightly sweet taste reminiscent of a rich Darjeeling. Because of its caffeine content, I’ll brew a strong mug in the morning, then continue to add hot water throughout the day to the original brew enjoying the tea even with its diminished strength and caffeine. Yes, it’s that delicious!

This wonderful tea has a deep, mild flavor profile that I admit is deceptively delicious to the point of wanting to overindulge. I must admit I'm a superfan of this masterpiece of nature. It's also low caffeine in case you overindulge (which is not difficult to do) so you don't have to deal with the jitters.

Great product. Premium whole leaf was out of stock so we ordered 2 bags of broken leaf purple instead. One week later (now), premium became available again! Too bad our timing was off a bit or we would have ordered whole leaf instead. Anyway, purple leaf either way is great.

I love this purple tea from Kenya. It's a great tea for the body. I placed my order and I had my tea within a few days. Please keep up the good work.

Again this is just my taste buds but I felt this was a boring tea. None of the flavors stood out to me. I think if you want something more simple and just one single thing this tea is for you, but I like just a bit more character and flavor in my tea.

New at this tea but very fulfilling. Will be ordering in the future.
