Nice Set

I am making matcha tea everyday now and this matcha set has helped make it easy to do.
The only thing that could improve is to have a handle on the mixing tea bowl. It's hot to the touch when I go to pour it into my cup.

Do you have a special tea kettle for matcha? That can be used at home?

The Whistling Kettle

Hi there-

You don’t actually need a special kettle specifically for matcha. Any way to heat water will work - whether that’s a stovetop kettle or even a small pot - just as long as you can get the water to the right temperature (typically around 175°F).

If you’re looking for an easy, at-home upgrade, we do recommend the Stagg EKG Electric Kettle (https://www.thewhistlingkettle.com/products/stagg-ekg-electric-kettle). It has precise temperature control and a slow pour spout, which makes it really convenient for preparing matcha consistently.

That said, a thermometer + any basic kettle will work just as well if you already have one at home!

Let us know if you’d like tips on preparing matcha - we’re happy to help!
