The perfect black tea for anyone even people just starting out on tea. I used agave syrup for sweetening my sample will definitely be buying this in the largest size to keep on hand as a staple.

Finally a source of good assam. I would have given it a 4.6 but that wasn’t an option. Price also fair.

A fabulous black Assam tea. Warm with a touch of smokey malt. Very smooth, not bitter at all. Deep flavor, rich aroma, it's just a great tea.

This one is just right. I brew it as per label directions adding a 1/2 tsp of honey (though I can only get my kettle to about 206), and it tastes great!

I wish I could award this 4.5 stars, as it’s got flavor notes and quality I like, but it tastes a little weak to me if I make it as instructed. I prefer the teaspoon to a 6oz cup of water ratio, or adding about half a teaspoon more if making an. 8oz serving.
I enjoy this tea hot with milk and sugar. It has some malty notes (not heavy), seemed well-balanced, and holds up to additions.

I prefer Assam teas and have tried a lot of them. I first got the Mokalbari East Estate Assam as a sample from another vender. It was then sold out. I found The Whistling Kettle site and bought a quantity.
I am not very good with distinguishing different tasting notes, but I do get a rich malty taste, and a hint of chocolate with a nice, subtle spicy finish.
This is my favorite Assam, and I will always try to keep this one around.

This tea has changed my perspective of all black teas. It is remarkably rich with a comforting earthy flavor. Any other black tea simply fails in comparison. I crave it, and when I cannot have it daily, I miss it!

This hit my pallet like an old comfortable friend. He was mellow, spicy and so easy to be with. Being silent was just as good as our conversation. Super tasty with out being sharp or too lingering. Subtle spicy, sweet finish leaves me looking forward to my next cup :}

Mokalbari Assam has become my favorite afternoon cup. Smooth with little bite

I fill my teapot with half English Breakfast and half Mokalbari East Assam, and that sets me up for the day. The flavor is mild but delicious. If I want a stronger cuppa I mix this Assam with Irish breakfast tea. Perfect start to the day.

Not a dark, malty Assam, but a bright one with just the right amount of depth.

A twiggy TGFOP1 that is not as complex nor as complex as GTGFOP1 Mokalbari. It's worth it as a daily tea for the cost is well-priced.

This is the perfect breakfast tea. The flavor is rich and pleasing without milk or sweetener. I find brewing it for 8-9 minutes works well because I love a strong cup of tea in the morning! Even at 8-9 minutes of steeping, there are no sharp notes.

Generally speaking (ie. not from the whistling kettle alone), this is one of my favorite black teas. This tea seemed of high quality; I've had Assam's with stronger/a deeper flavor before, however the flavor is still lovely. Very good if you are looking for a mild, but well rounded black tea.

I start every day with a cup, usually two of black tea. I'm a plain Jane (no sweetener or milk) and this tea has a very good flavor for me. I am really enjoying it.

This is a delicious, full bodied tea with a great aroma. It's what I wake up to in the morning. They say it's great with milk, but I like it with a teaspoon of rock sugar. Yummm!

This is my first black tea. I normally drink green tea and herbal teas, but decided to try black tea as my breakfast tea. I prepare enough for two cups.add a little honey and coffee creamer to smooth out the taste. well satisfied with the results.

I keep an assortment of teas at home, but this is one of only 2 that I make sure to have a tin of at work as well. It's my go-to cuppa.

tried so many finally been using this one steadily - love it in the afternoon with a little soy vanilla cream and agave syrup oh yeah maybe dunk some coconut cookies in it !!!!

Confession: I'm normally a flavored tea person, but I tried a sample of this a friend had because I was intrigued by the description of its "malty" flavor, and it immediately became something I had to have. I usually drink it with milk and sugar, and it's incredibly satisfying. Strong enough to hold its own with the milk, but not at all bitter. I was shocked at how enjoyable a high quality tea could be, without all the usual spices and flavorings I'd been depending on. It often replaced coffee for me throughout the day.

I am a bit of a connoisseur when it comes to my estate teas, and I can say that there is a lot of poor quality out there with places claiming to be premium estate. I found this tea, and my senses were overjoyed at the hints of malt coupled with the astringent flavor of the lighter leaves. I love this, and I believe every tea drinker owes it to himself to try this out!
