Description

In a Michelin-starred restaurant, you would find this flavor combination listed as a dessert treat with a “trio of blackberries blended in a sweet fig compote." With this blend, we have captured the flavor of fresh, juicy blackberries and seductively sweet fig notes on a bed of Chinese and Rwandan black tea leaves. Whole blackberries, premium Georgian mountain blackberry leaves, and common blackberry leaves complete our fruity "Trio" here. Attractive, large, pink fig pieces and pink cornflower blossoms provide further delicate splashes of color. An absolute must to be tried on ice!

Blackberry Fig tea excels both hot and iced. Customers praised its "smooth, naturally sweet" flavor from freeze-dried fruits, noting "bold and juicy" blackberry with balanced fig sweetness. The blend features a "malty backbone" that's not overpowered. Many enjoyed it without sweetener, though some added agave or milk. Best cold-brewed for vibrant, refreshing taste.

Fresh and juicy

If you like blackberries, you will love this tea!
I've found that blends made with freeze-dried fruit tend to have a much fresher, more vibrant fruit flavor than those made with traditional air-dried fruit, and this tea is a perfect example. The blackberry is bold and juicy, while the apple pieces do a wonderful job of rounding out its bright, tangy notes. The freeze-dried fig pieces add a lovely natural sweetness without becoming overly sweet.
This tea is sweeter than I typically drink, but the sweetness arrives near the end of each sip and lingers pleasantly rather than dominating the cup. Because it comes from the freeze-dried figs instead of added sweeteners, it feels softer, more natural, and beautifully balanced.
I tried this tea both hot and chilled. Rather than pouring it over ice, I strain the hot tea into a container and place it in the freezer to cool. It takes a little more patience, but it keeps the tea from becoming watered down.
When chilled, I noticed that much of the lingering sweetness faded. It was still a delicate, refreshing tea, but it didn't have quite the same depth of flavor as it did when served hot. For me, this is another blend that truly shines as a hot cup of tea.

Blackberry Muffin Dessert

The upfront aroma is intoxicating. Both a fig and blackberry fill the nose.

The taste is spot on—balanced, smooth, and naturally sweet. It almost reminds me of biting into a fresh blackberry muffin from a local bakery. The blackberry shines up front with its juiciness, while the black tea provides a subtle malty backbone that keeps everything well balanced. The figs come through on the finish with a rich, almost jam-like flavor that lingers pleasantly, making each sip just as enjoyable as the last.

A must try!!

I enjoyed this one both hot and cold brewed, but each brought out something a little different.

Hot: I got a smooth black tea with rich, jammy blackberry and a mellow, honey-like sweetness from the fig. It was cozy, comforting, and beautifully balanced.

Cold Brew: The blackberry really stole the show! It was bright, juicy, and refreshing, while the fig added just the right amount of natural sweetness to round everything out. I honestly loved it both ways, but if you're a blackberry fan, you have to try this one as a cold brew!

Great Summer Iced Tea!

What a delicious, fruity brew! I love the aroma of the fruits.

There's plenty of natural sweetness from apples and figs and a nice tartness from the blackberries. There's plenty of bold black tea flavor, too that's not overshadowed by the fruits. I enjoyed the hot brew on it's own for my first cup and it paired nicely with my lunch.
With the hot weather in the south, this blend was screaming "iced tea"!

Over ice, I added a little agave syrup (I love my sweet iced tea). And then I remembered....I have some of my FAVORITE blackberry soda. I topped my glass off with a little bit of fizz (I LOVE bubbles) and WOW! The tartness of the soda mixed with the sweet tea was so refreshing and delicious. A perfect mocktail on a hot summer day. I bet this would be delicious as a gin or vodka cocktail.

Highly recommend! Whistling Kettle never disappoints!

Smooth Sweet and Tart 💙

The leaves are adorned with whole freeze dried blackberries and fig bits. I steeped for four minutes and the result is a smooth black tea that is mildly sweet from the apple pieces and figs and a bit tart from the blackberry leaves and fruit. I enjoyed it with some oat milk a piece of chocolate cake on my porch. I feel that lovers of earl grey will especially like this tea.

Blackberry Fig black tea

The aroma of this tea is very berry forward and a bit sweet. I tried this tea hot. I brewed it per the instructions on the package, and added half and half and sweetener. It has large dried berries that plump when steeping. The cornflowers are a pretty purple red color. The taste delivers what the aroma promises, a delicious berry flavor with a bit of sweetness from the apple and fig pieces. It is a nold black tea. I love blackberries and this tea did not disappoint. Sort of like a dessert tea.

Summers Sweetest Sip

Blackberry Fig is a beautifully balanced fruit-forward black tea that pairs rich maltiness with the natural sweetness of ripe blackberry, fig, and apple. Served hot, it is smooth, comforting, and elegantly layered with subtle herbal notes from the mountain blackberry leaves.

While excellent as a traditional hot tea, this blend truly shines as a cold brew, where the blackberry becomes wonderfully vibrant and the texture turns remarkably silky with virtually no astringency.

Naturally sweet and exceptionally refreshing, it is a tea I found myself reaching for again and again

Excellent Tea

The flavor of the tea without any additions is smooth as silk and very flavorful. I would not need to add anything to this tea to enjoy.

The blend of the ingredients is spot on. I taste a bit of blackberry forward but that is what I expected and wanted from this blend.

I recommend this tea as a very good daily tea....Iced - will we will have to try that. The fruity flavor certainly seems like that would be great!

Absolutely amazing!

I knew I was going to love this one as soon as I opened the bag. It had the most amazing amora and it looked so pretty with the pops of color throughout it. I used 2 tsp of tea and steeped at 212° for 3 minutes. It brewed a lovely golden color. It had such an incredible flavor, so sweet and fruity. The blackberry comes through beautifully, followed by a slight malty flavor from the black tea and ends with a rich fig note. I love that I'm still able to taste the black tea in this blend, its not overpowered by the other ingredients. It was well-balanced and so smooth with no astringency. I enjoyed this one plain and hot but could see this making a delicious iced tea. Highly recommend this one!

This tea was gifted to me by purveyor, but all opinions are my own.

Amazing blend!

My oh my, this is a fantastic blend! I get juicy blackberry first, then the black tea, and a kiss of fig at the end. The black tea used here is medium-bodied, and not bitter or astringent. It has a tint of maltiness that I found accompanied the berry flavor wonderfully. I had planned on trying this with milk, but ended up amazed at how delicious the tea was on its own that I didn’t even need to add any milk.

This tea was gifted to me by the company, and I am providing my honest review.

Our whole household really enjoyed this blend as

Our whole household really enjoyed this blend as iced tea: I steeped it as a concentrate, and then filled the rest of the way with chilled water. It’s a lovely aromatic tea and smooth, not requiring sugar for us. I also liked it with some sweetener, and served hot, as o was trying it prepared different ways. I really appreciate this NOT including any sage in the blend. I prefer the two fruits blended together: blackberry and fig.

I used Blackberry Fig iced

I used Blackberry Fig iced. I loved the flavor. We are transplants from the Capital District to NC. It was so good to find that I can get my Whistling Kettle tea fix long distance. My husband loved the Blackberry Fig, too. I’m thinking Christmas gifts from WK!

Like a blackberry pie or fig dessert - perfect for any time of year

The aroma is exactly as described - with the plum-like fruity nature of blackberry and fig. Truly like catching a whiff of a blackberry pie as it comes out of the oven or like a Fig Newton. There's a bready quality to the scent as well that helps immerse you in the illusion of having a fruity baked dessert. Iced, even better. I mean wow. It becomes more juicy, and the fig more prominent than the blackberry. Overall, this is an absolute winner.

Refreshing!

I cold-brewed this tea, using 4 teaspoons of tea and cold water in a mason jar. I left it in the fridge for roughly 24 hours and poured over ice, sweetened with agave, and garnished with fresh blackberries.

The resulting brew is very refreshing and perfect for enjoying on a hot day! Cold-brewing yields an exceptionally smooth cup with very low astringency. Flavors of blackberry and fig mingle nicely for a summer sip that balances sweet and tart very well. The tea isn’t too much — it’s distinctly blackberry and fig, and I appreciate the absence of too many other elements so those flavors can shine. It’s sweet and simple, perfect for a picnic, porch sippin’, or a little midday pick-me-up to caffeinate and reinvigorate. I thoroughly enjoyed this blend and look forward to having it again.
