My go to tea!

This is my absolute favorite black tea. It has a naturally slightly sweeter flavor that doesn’t get bitter and is delightful to drink all morning! Buy large bags! They sell out!

Great Yunnan tea

This is my alternative go-to tea when I am looking for something with a little less bite, but full flavored. It has the distinctive Yunnan taste, without the tannin strength of an Assam. I put a splash of milk in it - no sweetener, and it makes a great AM tea. Lots golden tips...and quality has been very consistent.

Delicious!

Tastes like what I’m familiar with Assam tasting like!
Sweet fruity note.
Okay with a little agave syrup/ sugar.
Good with coconut oil- probably like it best this way.
Don’t drink with coconut milk, makes it instantly chocolatey and takes away from its original taste!

Ancient Forest Yunnan

I bought this as a sample as I'd never had it. The aroma is really nice, almost chocolatey. The flavor was adequate but it didn't thrill me enough to buy more. I'll use up the sample though. My favorite is still English Evening.

Something Different

This tea offers the connoisseur something a bit different. Rich in flavor and taste, TKW does not disappoint. An excellent alternative.

This is going to sound crazy

But I’m tasting chocolate. I am not one of those people who tastes things in wine other than wine, and I’m definitely tasting tea, but I’m also tasting chocolate. I guess this is one of those things that happen when you try the reeeeally good stuff.

Ancient Forest Amazing Taste

I was prepared for the worst but this first loose tea purchase was a winner. I found a quick 5 minutes steep the best for my taste but longer doesn't degrade the quality as the product is superior. A bit worried about it made in China but the quality has been consistent. No problems. AF tea is wondrous poured over ice that pops those black tea taste tones.

Ancient Forest Yunnan

This is an excellent tea, with a very smooth flavor and great aroma. The tea is very good with or without added milk; the silky quality of the tea is more noticeable without milk. A great morning to early afternoon tea.

Smooth and strong

I love this as my go to black tea for my large morning cup. What I love about it is that it is flavorful by itself without the need for additions. I’m also always so worried with typical English Breakfast teas because they can get pretty tart and oversteeped, in my opinion, very quickly. I feel the Ancient Forest is much more forgiving, giving you some flexibility with steep time and intensity.

Smooth and flavorful

I generally don't add any sweetener or milk to my tea. This tea has a deep, rich flavor without any hint bitterness. It has a very faint sweetness at the end and would probably be wonderful with a little splash of cream.

Good flavor

Enjoyable, good iced but a little better hot. I do not sweeten or add milk to my tea so I like the variety of the flavors

Rich, earthy, slightly smoky

This is a really nice tea. The mild notes of cedar smoke are complimented by a honeyed sweetness and slightly creamy mouthfeel. This tea is like a lightly peated single malt scotch, just smoky enough, but not nearly as smoky as Lapsang Souchong. Takes well to a little milk and sugar.

A Special Tea for Special Times, and All the Time!

I love a strong tea with a rich flavor, and this tea never disappoints. The flavor is unique and so satisfying - "earthy" is right word for it. It is one of the two "must have" teas in my house.

Top Shelf

At first sniff, you can smell how sweet this black tea is. It may appear like ordinary black loose leaf tea, however, the scent is what reveals this is a top shelf black tea. It is creamy and sweet and wields a powerful aroma. It reminds me of the highest quality of earl gray British black tea. Any tea which comes from the ancient tea plantation in the mountain's of Jingmai Mangjing is said to be like no other because the roots of the 1000 year old trees dig deep into the earth like Red Woods, and has the ability to absorb nutrients from the earth. And that is exactly what you taste when brewed. The scent remains and the taste is most reverent. Rich and flavorful, this black tea is rather dank.

Like Wine

This tea is so rich and inviting. The flavor reminds me of the flavor profile of a fine wine.

My favorite Chinese Black Tea

This tea is amazing. It's incredibly smooth, earthy, and naturally sweet. And because you can get a few steepings out of it at a time, it's definitely worth the price. Every single person I've served it to has loved it, and it's something I always have to keep on hand now.
