I have never tasted a flavor combo like this before, tastes like cocoa and plum just like the description and I see why it's out of stock. I do hope the big 4 oz bag comes back in stock soon because I was able to only buy a sample and fell in love with this tea. I may have to buy 6 samples so I have plenty lol

While the pearls are smaller than I imagined, the flavor is big. I use 4 pearls per mug (I measure it by mug, since that's what matters most to me), I found that other reviews suggested 2-3 but that was a little weak for me. You can rebrew once or twice for a lighter flavor. The pearls unwind and expand dramatically, so be careful not to use too much. A little goes a long way. I'm not one to dive into flavor profiles, but "nutty" and "deep" come to mind. It's almost like a light black tea with the more earthy green tea flavors taking charge. I'd recommend at least getting a sample, and seeing if the larger bags are worth it for you.

I wish there had been more specific instructions on the package about how many pearls or how many grams of weight to add into an 8oz cup. A teaspoon is an unreliable tool for something of this shape. So I had to guess. Seems like it’s a mostly clean and general black tea profile to me; not high on astringency or bitterness, thankfully. Some hints of malt or cocoa when I added a small amount of sugar. Not as malty as most Irish Breakfast blends, for reference. I tried 3 pearls, but I’m curious if 4 would be better or too strong.

This tea has a naturally sweet flavor that has hints of honey. It’s amazing black and it doesn’t need any milk. My only gripe was for my palette it needed 2 pearls instead of one per cup. It nice to not have to measure though. Just drop some pearls in the cup and steep away. Solid 8/10 for me.

Black Dragon Pearls are a unique tea, very flavorful and I drink it often in the morning. It is smooth and an enjoyable way to start the day.

I been drinking this black dragon tea the past couple of days the tea has a unique aroma and smooth taste,these black dragon tea balls are bigger then what I usually buy,since i use a 14oz cup i break it down still good.

This might be my favorite tea I've tried from WK. The flavor is fantastic, lighter than expected and never bitter. I'm not someone who puts milk or sugar or anything like that in my tea, so this one is perfect. It re-brews incredibly well. I use just one pearl for my cup of tea and the amount of flavor is worth re-brewing it again and again throughout the day.

It's worth trying a sample of this tea just for the delightful experience of unwrapping the pearl, tied up with a little golden twist tie, and watching it unfurl in the water. Beautiful.

I was expecting a strong tea flavor but was pleasantly surprised that it it's a mild light flavored tea that's not bitter or over powering.

At 1st I didn't know what to expect I've read the description[which is an understatement] and felt adventurous so I thought I'd try the sample, BIG mistake, I found out the hard way after my long anticipated delivery which was earlier than expected arrived, sent me into a near fever pitch as I frantically sifted thru my numerous selections for the sweet sought-after prize, I brewed "my precious" dragon pearl which are beautifully crafted and hand rolled for that sought-after superior flavor and was immediately taken aback by the extremely fragrant bouquet which assaults the olfactory senses beyond comprehension, then comes "THE TASTING" the 1st thing comes to mind is I haven't been LIVING until this moment rings a bell, then comes absolute complete utter
dissatisfaction in YOURSELF as you tasted the entire serving before you knew it and started kicking yourself for the small selection size. Amazing product highly recommended.

This tea is amazing if you’re a black tea aficionado, which I’m not. I wasn’t disappointed, but I’m still a green tea guy. If you’re into black tea then get this. If you were experimenting, as I was, then it’s worth a try.

Love the hint of cocoa in these Black Dragon Pearls. Pairs great with the Rock Sugar.

Dragon Pearls flavor very enjoyable. Almost cocoa or...malt? But messy in the cup and leaving the leaves in really pumps up the caffeine content in my experience. Need a larger infuser apparently. Will purchase again.

This hands down is the best black tea I've ever had. Not bitter at all, very smooth, and no need to add anything to make it palatable.

Black dragon pearl is my favorite black tea. I LOVE the smooth flavor but also like that I don't get tea leaves in my cup after steeping since these are longer.

Dragon Pearl tea is by far one of the best teas I have ever experienced. It is smooth and the hint of chocolate is delightful. Highly recommend this tea.

I love how easy it is to make this tea. You don't even need a measuring spoon because you can count out the appropriate number of "pearls" for the size tea kettle you are using. The tea is smooth , full-bodied and a little earthy. It has become one of my favorite black teas.

This tea has such a great flavor. Smooth and full bodied without a hint of bitterness. It’s a pleasure to serve to company or to give as a gift to friends and family.

This tea is a crowd favorite if mine, never bitter with smooth light favor; I can drink gallons of it!

This is one of my favorite Black teas, not bitter like other black teas and has a smooth taste, easily took place over any breakfast tea for me

The Yunan Curls are great on their own, but I especially like to mix them with the Golden Monkey when making iced tea. (2 pearls + 2 3/4 T. golden monkey)

I was introduced to this tea a number of years ago when trying to expand my black tea experiences. It has been a favorite ever since. I love the earthy richness and full flavor. I use a large Yeti mug with a strainer and typically use 6 pearls for 14 ounces of water. After steeping I add a dash of milk and a bit of sweetener. Wonderful way to start the morning. Added bonus is you can usually get an additional cup of tea without adding more pearls.

Black Dragon Pearls has become my favorite (unflavored) black tea. I drink it nearly every morning; the tea is the perfect beginning to my day. Six of the pearls of tea in my double-size cup (with metal strainer) makes tea at exactly the strength I enjoy --- no milk, please! The tea has a wonderful earthy flavor, with hints of smokiness that lend a level of interest not seen in many teas. Neither too intense nor too mild, Black Dragon Pearls is absolutely my recommendation to anyone who prefers a distinctive, yet not overpowering, flavor in tea.

This tea is incredibly good. Full, rich bodied but not the least bit bitter. Even if steeped for a longer period, it maintains it's smooth flavor. A new favorite of mine.
