Back Porch Blend

I enjoyed this one both hot and cold brewed, and honestly... it was absolutely delicious!
Hot: The smooth black tea is complemented by the honey-like sweetness of the honeybush. The coconut adds a creamy touch, while the lemon peel and lemongrass brighten the cup without overpowering it.
Cold Brew: Everything becomes even smoother. The coconut stands out a little more, and the citrus gives it a crisp, refreshing finish that's perfect over ice.
This blend is enjoyable both ways, depending on whether you're in the mood for a cozy cup or a refreshing iced tea.

From the moment I opened the package, I was greeted by a warm, nutty aroma with gentle notes of vanilla from the rooibos, coconut, and honeybush. A soft floral backdrop of white cornflowers and calendula petals adds another layer of complexity. The lemon peel and lemongrass stay quietly in the background, contributing just a subtle hint of brightness.
There is a delicate sweetness that lingers on the palate, likely from the small amount of powdered sugar in the blend. I also appreciate that the black tea never becomes bitter or overpowers the other ingredients—it simply complements them, rounding out the blend beautifully.
The brewed tea is a gorgeous coppery-red with a smooth, velvety mouthfeel that perfectly matches its delicate liquor.
I also tried this tea as a cold brew. It was refreshing and light, though some of the lovely floral sweetness seemed to fade when served cold. While it's enjoyable either way, I definitely prefer it hot, where all of its flavors and aromas truly shine.

I had to drink this on my back porch. I found it the only fitting way to accomplish this review.

This blend smells surprisingly of caramel. Tastes a bit of Carmel as well. Maybe it’s the sugar in the blend. I am also getting notes of calendula and lemongrass on the finish. I added oat milk and it really brought out the lemon. With every sip I’m tasting different profiles in this blend. What a fun tea.

I rarely have caffeinated hot tea after work, but this felt like a good blend to pair with my summer dinner plate (especially those delicious coconut rolls!).

I love a rooibos and honeybush blend. It's nutty and creamy with delicious caramel notes, which is a perfect match with the creamy coconut in this tea. The lemon peel and lemongrass give just a hint of cool citrus. The black tea base is subtle but noticeable.

Since the extreme heat gave us a break today, I enjoyed this blend hot with a little added agave for sweetness. I ended up adding a splash of milk which brought out the coconut flavor even more and created a delicious dessert delight!

I drank this tea at about room temperature. When I opened the package I could smell the coconut and the sweetness from the powdered sugar. There was a hint of citrus from the lemon peel and lemongrass. It is a mild tasting tea, subtle. The rooibos and the coconut are the ingredients I taste most. The citrus flavor comes through also. I didn't add anything to this tea as it already has enough sweetness. I think this would be best as a cold tea

As soon as I saw the ingredients in this blend I couldn't wait to try a cup! And it did not disappoint! The rooibos and lemongrass took center stage, while the coconut was a bit more subtle but rounded out the flavor beautifully. I really loved that flavor combination! It was really rich and had a creamy mouthfeel. As it cooled down the lemon really shined! It was very refreshing and perfect for summer ☀️

I enjoyed this one plain, it didn't need any additions. I used 2 tsp of tea and steeped at 212° for 3 minutes.

I cold-brewed this tea, using 4 teaspoons of tea and cold water in a mason jar. I left it in the fridge for roughly 24 hours and poured over ice, sweetening with agave before enjoying.

Another refreshing summertime blend! Cold-brewing brings out a lot of earthiness in the rooibos, and the lemongrass brings an earthy-herbaceous component to the cup, with a lemony brightness as well. The addition of coconut smooths out the brew, and lemon peel brings a subtle citrus note. The black tea blends nicely with the rooibos, taking a back seat while providing a little boost of caffeine. Overall, it’s an enjoyable tea to sip on — and I’m actually sipping it on my back porch!

I wasn’t quite sure what to expect from Back Porch Blend. Based on the name, I imagined something filled with ripe peaches or apricots, but this tea took me in an entirely different direction. Instead of a fruit-forward blend, I found a smooth, dessert-inspired cup with bright lemon, creamy coconut, and a naturally sweet finish. The flavors are beautifully balanced, with no single ingredient overpowering the others, making it an easy tea to simply sit back and enjoy.

What impressed me most was how effortlessly drinkable it was both hot and cold. Hot, it offered a gentle black tea base layered with the mellow sweetness of honeybush and rooibos, finishing with a flavor that reminded me of lemon curd and toasted coconut. Cold brewed, the citrus became even brighter while the coconut took on a silky richness that made every sip refreshing. It may not have been the tea I expected, but it was a delightful surprise, and one I would happily reach for again when I’m in the mood for a subtle, comforting dessert-style blend.

I get primarily rooibos with this blend, followed by the black tea and then a kiss of lemon. I found the black tea to be light. I didn’t taste the coconut or the lemongrass in the hot brew. Surprisingly, I also get an apricot note, possibly from the mix of rooibos and black tea.

As a cold brew, this was much more flavorful than the hot. Rooibos is still the main flavor I get, but I do taste more black tea brewed this way. I also get more lemon, as well as the coconut. I didn’t get the apricot note in the cold brew like I did the hot.

I drank several cups of this this hot with a little bit of honey. It's a lighter black tea blend, a little sweet and very smooth. I could distinguish any distinct flavors. I liked it but it didn't stand out. I wonder if it would be better iced though.

This is a very interesting blend that also has a little bit of sweetness in it, partially due to the sugar. This would be a great blend to offer someone who says that they don't like tea, since it tastes more coconut-y than tea-y. This would make a nice addition chilled, too.

So well blended you will feel like you are sipping your dessert. There is no sharpness or bitterness from the lemon. It tastes almost like a lemon merengue & coconut pie blended together. I enjoyed this tea very much & am ordering a larger size bag. It definitely should be renamed, but the tea is wonderful & a definite keeper.

This tea is one of our favorites. My husband says it tastes like the lemon soufflé tea, but with caffeine. Does it taste like a mojito? Probably not, but I do really like the tea.

I like it, it's not the flavor I expected. The main flavors in a mojito cocktail are mint and lime, and this tea has... neither of those ingredients.

Good hot or iced, but I really expected a fairly strong mint flavor. If it was called something else I'd like it more.

The coconut,lemon and black tea work very well together

The combo of black tea and Rooibos is not that common amongst tea, but it works great. People I've given it to who I didn't describe the flavor were impressed. It's nothing over powering - but a good iced tea sipper to keep on hand during warmer months.
