Milk Oolong (Jin Xuan / Nai Xiang / #12)

Product information

$18.00

Description

Each sip of this oolong tea brings to mind buttery pastries and sweet custard. Milk Oolong is naturally rich and creamy without any dairy added. The 'milky' flavor comes from a process of withering the tea leaves overnight in a temperature controlled room that is cool but humid. The result is a tea unlike any other, with a silky mouth feel and notes of cream and honey. Milk Oolong tea leaves can be steeped multiple times and each brew will have a subtly different flavor profile.

Like a tea milkshake

I read about Milk Oolong tea in a tea magazine (the tea concierge had been quoted as saying milk oolong was a guest favorite) and went on an internet search to find some. I’m so glad I found this site and this tea. I am placing a second order and subscription since I gave most of it away already! I took some to a friend recovering from hip surgery and we had a nice little visit and tea party. Highly recommend this tea! It seems to be popular with everyone who tries it.

Love love love this oolong tea! Each infusion brings a subtle change in the flavor and it's always very smooth to taste.

I wanted to try this and I'm really glad I did. It definitely has an earthy aroma, but it's not too strong. I was expecting a little more milk/ butter taste, it had almost a very slight pepper taste. It was really good! Calming green tea, second infusion brought out a little more of the earthy taste but, for me, it was really comforting and quite enjoyable. I'll likely get a larger bag, definitely worth a try!

Tastes like it's name

I like Oolong tea to began with. This Milk Oolong really does taste like you have milk in the cup with your Oolong. The taste was pleasant. Liked it!
