Earl Grey Matcha Latte Ingredients
4g (~2 tsp) Ceremonial Grade Matcha
4oz hot water (not boiling)
4oz choice of milk
1 oz Earl Grey syrup
Ice cubes
Earl Grey Syrup Ingredients
2 tbsp loose leaf Earl Grey tea
1 cup boiling water
1 cup granulated sugar (or sugar alternative)
Earl Grey Cold Foam Ingredients
3 tbsp heavy cream
2 tbsp whole milk
1 tbsp earl grey syrup
Earl Grey Syrup Recipe (~8 servings)
In a cup, steep 2 tbsp of Earl Grey tea with 1 cup of boiling water for 4 minutes.
After steeping, remove tea leaves. Add 1 cup of granulated sugar and mix until sugar completely dissolves. Lasts ~2 weeks in the refrigerator.
Earl Grey Matcha Latte Recipe
Sift 4g (~2 tsp) matcha powder into a small bowl
Slowly add 4oz hot water (not boiling). Whisk briskly in a “W” or “M” motion with a matcha whisk until the tea becomes frothy with fine bubbles and no visible lumps. Set aside.
Add 1 oz Earl Grey syrup to the bottom of a glass
Pour ½ cup milk into your glass and mix
Fill glass with ice
Pour matcha over milk to layer
In a separate tall cup, combine 3 tbsp heavy cream, 2 tbsp whole milk and 1 tbsp Earl Grey syrup. Using an electric hand milk frother, mix until thick.
Top matcha with Earl Grey cold foam. Enjoy!
