Matcha

Matcha is a powdered green tea made not by steeping, but by mixing finely ground green tea leaves with hot water using a bamboo whisk. Ceremonial grade matcha tea is the basis of the traditional Japanese tea ceremony, though other grades are becoming more popular for use in things like matcha lattes and matcha ice cream.
