Nine Bend Black Dragon
Pure Black Tea
Limited Quantity Available. This Congue style tea, also known as Panyong Golden Needle is an example of what a premium Chinese tea should be. Using a complicated production procedure results in one gorgeous leaf, and only 50 tons of this tea are produced annually! Exceptionally fresh with a slightly sweet infusion with a thick sultry nose and bright golden cup. This is one Dragon that will never let you down!
The 'Nine' in the name refers to a proprietary nine part production process for this unique tea. Also called Panyong Needle, it is only produced in the district on Panyong in Fuan city. Production is about 50 tons per year. Hand sorted, with very distinctive wiry needle like leaves.
Exceptionally fresh, sweet infusion with a pure, thick nose. Rounded out by notes of oak.

I like the bright flavor of this tea. No bitter after taste. Very pleasing without milk or sugar.
Nice, smooth tea. Good after taste. I like my tea strong and black so having a tea which holds up and doesn’t get bitter is a must. Have not tried it iced but it is good room temperature as well
I was pleasantly surprised by this tea. I really had no idea what I’d taste. It’s a beautiful golden color with rich flavor, a hint of oak.
Golden monkey and this tea are my two favorites. They taste different, so it depends on what you're in the mood for. This tea is a little "cleaner", and Golden Monkey more "earthy". This is my little brother's favorite tea so I'm getting it for him for Christmas!
I received this tea as a gift along with a variety of other delicious teas from The Whistling Kettle, but this one is my absolute favorite! Nice, rich, black tea with hint of burgundy flavor...truly brewed a perfect cup of tea! I ordered more, immediately. :)
