I came to Whistling Kettle looking specifically for chocolates (I had only one other provider with only one chocolate tea). Whistling Kettle has 6 right now. They are:
Aztec Spice, Chocolate Chai, Mocha Latte, Belgian Chocolate, Salted Caramel Chocolate, and Chocolate Monkey. A great spread. I limited myself to choosing only two favorites since I wanted to purchase bulk 8 ounces which will last quite a while. My favorites are the Aztec Spice and the Salted Caramel (for now:-). It was not easy to narrow all these 6 choices! If I have a 3rd choice it would probably be the Chocolate Monkey.
So here is my review of the "Aztec Spice". It is a Puer (usually and aged black tea). It has 3 different kinds of chocolate, plus chili flakes and vanilla, and a few other spices. Don't let the chili flakes deter you! And Vanilla is an accepted partner for chocolate. These ingredients and the others go back a Millenium or so in the central a south american cultures. Aztec Spice has a smooth feel over the palate and a bit of zip from the chili and cinnamon. It can be re-brewed at least once (with an additional 1/2 tsp spoonful fresh). It is wonderful piping hot as well as Iced. I is also a great compliment to ice cream or gelato. I would suggest a mint flavor. So, more to come later on my 2nd choice of "Salted Caramel Chocolate"!
