Description

This Pu-erh tea cake goes through a special process of fermentation, aging, steaming, and compressing. It's characterized by a bright yellow infusion, sweet aroma, and mellow flavor profile. Pu-erh is excellent for digestion and balancing both cholesterol and blood sugar. Green Pu-erh is slightly more fresh in taste than most Pu-erh teas, and brews a revitalizing cup.

The best green tea I've had so far.

Green tea cake pleasures

I greatly enjoy the sensory experience of the tea cake. Each morning I open the visually attractive box and unwrap the paper cover of the cake. The feel in my fingers, breaking off a piece and crumbling the dried leaves, connects me with the journey the tea has taken to get to me. As I pour boiling water over the leaves, the sound changes to let me know the cup is almost full. I lean my face over the cup for the steamy smell of steeping tea. A few minutes later, the delicious taste starts my day.

Delicious variation of pu-erh

I received this in the mail today and couldn’t wait to try it. It is a wonderful tasting tea. I rinsed the leaves in hot water first for about 45 seconds and then brewed.
The first infusion had a very strong Puerh taste but more vegetal. Subsequent infusions mellowed the flavor out each time until the last tasting like a grassy green tea. I highly recommend.
