Organic Green Tea
Fresh, vegetative green tea from Japan is combined with toasted rice. There is a natural sweetness and almost chewy character to the finish of this tea. During the firing of the rice, it is not uncommon for rice to ‘pop’ not unlike popcorn, hence the pet name ‘popcorn-tea’. A unique flavor that stands out as a cult favorite in the tea world.

After enjoying this tea at a local resturant I started my quest to find it, Found it on the Whistling
Kettle web site and ordered a sample size. Was not disappointed!!! This tea has a mellow ,nutty taste and is delicious almost anytime of the day. Will be ordering more.
I bought this for my husband as a change in his normal routine. I suprised him with a cup to which he said what a wonderful nutty flavor which goes well with the tea choice.
I then added it to a brew of the rice pudding and he could not stop raving about the flavor mash up .
I had never heard of this tea and ordered the sample to try it. What a unique toasty/nutty flavor, It is mild and I added just a small amount of stevia and it really brought out the toasted rice flavor!
My absolute favorite tea is barley tea--- or should I say WAS barley tea. THIS tea is now at the top of my list with the toasty and nutty flavor of the toasted rice making it extra delicious! I love how the toasty flavor works with the sweet green tea. Not bitter at all, this has a rich flavor that I will have to reorder asap in a larger size for sure!
I was looking for a good organic variety - this one has all the qualities I look for with the organic label.
