This creepy yet cool looking ghoul's strawberry refresher is the ultimate Halloween drink. Impress your guests at your next Halloween get together with just 3 simple ingredients: Strawberry Guava iced tea, simple syrup, and milk.
We were testing out some potential recipes in our test kitchen when we accidentally stumbled upon something amazing! We tried out this mixture of Strawberry Guava iced tea, simple syrup, and a splash of milk. Once we stirred it together and took a sip, we realized we just made a copycat version of what most people refer to at Starbucks as a “pink drink”.
Slowly pouring the milk on top of the tea causes the milk to separate from the tea just enough to leave a ghoulish effect - making for great visual presentation for any Halloween party you might be attending! Even better, this drink contains no alcohol, making it a family-friendly option for any type of spooky gathering you might be attending or hosting. Add a shot of your favorite liquor (we recommend vodka) for a boozy spin!
Add 4 tbsp of loose-leaf Strawberry Guava tea to your infuser basket or tea bag and place into your pitcher.
Pour boiling water (212 F) over your infuser or tea bag until your drink pitcher is ½ way filled.
Let your tea steep for 10-12 minutes, then remove the infuser basket or tea bag.
Fill your drink pitcher the rest of the way with cold water or ice cubes (**use ice cubes to cool down the tea faster**)
Fill your cup(s) with ice cubes and add 1 oz of simple syrup (**to make simple syrup at home, stir together equal parts sugar and boiling water until the sugar is dissolved.**)
Pour in Strawberry Guava iced tea until your cup is almost full, leaving enough room for the milk. Stir to mix with the simple syrup.
Slowly pour 1 oz of milk (or dairy alternative of choice) on top of tea.
Serve immediately while the milk is floating on the tea. Include a straw so your guests can stir the drink themselves and watch it transform.
