Recommended tea for pregnancy
Pregnancy can be tough if you are used to a cup of coffee or tea, as it is recommended to avoid caffeine. Decaf teas exist, and while they are 99% caffeine free, there still will be trace amounts that exist. There are different opinions on whether this is too much, so we recommend you speak to your doctor.
Herbal teas for pregnancy
Thankfully there are a number of great herbs you can drink during pregnancy that do not contain caffeine and also contain many benefits, such as alleviating symptoms of morning sickness, reducing irritability and insomnia.
Because pregnancy can be complex, we recommend double checking any ingredients for specific issues, side effects and talk to your doctor.
Peppermint - Helpful in relieving nausea, morning sickness and flatulence.
Lemon Balm - Calming, helps relieve irritability, insomnia and anxiety.
Ginger - Helps relive nausea and vomiting
Dandelion - Simulates the liver, gentle diuretic
Nettle - High in chlorophyll (a detoxifier), vitamins and minerals, helps cramps
Red Raspberry Leaf - helps with morning sickness, high in minerals, tones uterus (note: some say not to drink during 1st semester - please do your research!)
Rooibos - Naturally caffeine free, full of anti-oxidants and rich in minerals
