Chai this latte yourself!

Fall is making its way back, and with fall comes warm drinks! Whether you have it as a morning brew or a soothing drink by the campfire, a Chai latte is the perfect way to get into the season.

Piping hot chai frothed with milk and sugar is a staple in India. This Chai Latte recipe has the sweet and spicy flavor that you love, and can be made at home in just minutes. You can choose to make it dairy-free and naturally sweetened. Making it yourself is a great healthier alternative to the kind you’d buy at a coffee shop.

What you need:

Hot Chai Latte Recipe

Serves 3

  1. Boil 24oz of water until 212 F
  2. Add 2 heaping tbsp of Pumpkin Chai (or your choice of Chai) tea into Big Steep teapot infuser or tea bag. *If you are using The Big Steep, make sure to set the Push-on-Lid firmly first and then insert Basket infuser.*
  3. Gently pour hot water over tea.
  4. Submerge infuser or tea bag and infuse the tea for 5 minutes.
  5. While tea is steeping, foam milk either by whisking vigorously or using a milk frother
  6. Remove infuser or tea bag.
  7. Pour tea into cup of choice, leaving room for creamer
  8. Add sweeteners of choice (honey is a great natural sweetener!)
  9. Top with frothed creamer
