Pregnancy means change, eating the proper foods, taking pre-natal supplements to provide the best nutrients for the baby. Caffeine should be avoided. We've developed our herbal pregnancy tea as natural support during your pregnancy, with a recipe developed by Master Herbalists.

We start with only the freshest, organic herbs. Each batch is hand made. And because it's a loose product, you get more for your money versus individuallt bagged tea. You can make as much, or as little as you need. We make this tea in small batches to ensure freshness.

But aside from providing an important function, this blend tastes great both hot or iced.

Ingredients:

Organic Red Raspberry Leaf:

There is a long list of vitamins, minerals, and nutrients that the uterus needs to work efficiently. Red Raspberry Leaf has virtually all of them. The most popular use for Red Raspberry Leaf Tea is for the mothers and baby’s health throughout pregnancy. It provides the uterus with a nourishing source of vitamins and minerals that are vital for a healthy pregnancy. Red Raspberry is also an excellent source of an alkaloid called fragrine, which tones the muscles of the pelvic region, including the uterus itself. This really helps to lower and sometimes eliminates cramps from the menstrual cycle and also makes for an easier birth. Red Raspberry leaves also contain many vitamins like vitamin C, E, A, B complex, and minerals like magnesium, potassium, phosphorus, manganese, selenium, silicon, sulfur, tannins, also easily assimilated calcium and iron.

Organic Strawberry Leaf:

You may have already heard of ellagic acid, a compound that has been shown to neutralize cancer-causing substances, boost the immune system, and induce apoptosis (self-destruction) of cancerous cells.  Whether drinking strawberry leaf tea can actually have any significant anti-cancer effects in humans, however, has not been evaluated in clinical trials (as of the writing of this article).

Infusion made from wild strawberry leaves has been traditionally used to treat diarrhea, indigestion, and dysentery, and now there's at least some evidence to support this use. A study published in Gene, Genome and Genomics in 2011 analyzed the phytochemical composition of wild strawberries native to Chile and found that them to be a rich source of tannins. Also the leaves of cultivated strawberries have been shown to contain significant amount of tannins. Tannin-rich plant extracts have been widely studied, particularly in relation to their anti-diarrhea activity.

Organic Nettle Leaf

An infusion of the plant is very valuable in stemming internal bleeding. It is also used to treat anaemia, excessive menstruation, hemorrhoids, arthritis, rheumatism and skin complaints, especially eczema.

Organic Spearmint Leaf

Antioxidant activity - a report, published in the Journal of Chemistry, revealed that spearmint extract has "good total phenolic and flavonoid contents. It exhibited excellent antioxidant activity1, as measured by β-carotene bleaching and 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) assays."

Antifungal properties - spearmint essential oil is associated with a number of antifungal properities2, according to a study presented at the 2011 International Conference on Environmental and Agriculture Engineering.

Relieving symptoms of digestive problems - spearmint may help relax the stomach muscles, reducing symptoms of nausea and other digestive problems. According to a review of the potential health benefits of spearmint tea, published in the journal Phytotherapy Research, "human studies on the GI, respiratory tract and analgesic effects of peppermint oil and its constituents have been reported".3 However, more research is necessary to back this claim.

Organic Fennel

Organic Fennel Seed: Rich in phytoestrogens, Fennel is often used for colic, gas, irritable bowel, kidneys, spleen, liver, lungs, suppressing appetite, mproving digestive system and increasing urine flow.

Organic Rose Hip

Rose hips are the best source of vitamin C; they contain 50% more vitamin C than oranges. Rose hips have a high vitamin A content. Vitamin A is commonly referred to as the "skin vitamin". It helps to regenerate skin cells, healing wounds and scars. It also helps to keep the skin elastic and nourished. This will not only prevent wrinkles, but can actually help to minimize any that have already appeared.

Organic Alfalfa Leaf

Alfalfa is naturally high in many essential vitamins and minerals, including A, D, E, K, and even the full family of B vitamins; biotin, calcium, folic acid, iron, magnesium, potassium and many others, as well as being very high in protein, especially when dried.

Organic Lemon Verbena

It is usually used internally as an herbal tea which gives a number of healing benefits to the body, including alleviating digestive track spasms, fortifying the nervous system, lessening feverish colds and easing stress and tension. Externally, one of the many roles of lemon verbena is to act as an anti-spasmodic and expectorant. It aids in breaking down cellulite and therefore to create a calming, healing and toning impact on the skin. It can also be used to diminish acne, puffiness and cysts and also act as a hair tonic.

Organic Peach Rooibos

Those that consume Rooibos have claimed that it has a soothing effect on headaches, disturbed sleeping patterns and digestive problems.
