Pearl of Fruits is premium blend with notes of exotic fruits, berries, creamy soft almonds with black and  green tea from China and Ceylon. This blend has a distinctly Asian influcence with notes of Jackfruit.

Enormous and prickly on the outside, jackfruit looks somewhat like durian (though jackfruit is usually even larger). Once a jackfruit is cracked open, what you will find inside are pods or "bulbs". Often referred to as the seeds, these bulbs are actually a kind of fleshy covering for the true seeds or pits, which are round and dark like chesnuts. The fleshy part (the "bulb") can be eaten as is, or cut up and cooked. When unripe (green), it is remarkably similar in texture to chicken, making jackfruit an excellent vegetarian substitute for meat. In fact, canned jackfruit (in brine) is sometimes referred to as "vegetable meat".

Jackfruit can also be purchased frozen, dried, or canned either in brine (usually unripe) or in syrup (ripe and sweet). If using fresh jackfruit, it's a good idea to oil your knife and hands first before cutting, as the fruit is very sticky. Jackfruit contains many vitamins and minerals, and offers numerous health benefits. The fruit's isoflavones, antioxidants, and phytonutrients mean that jackfruit has cancer-fighting properties. It is also known to help cure ulcers and indigestion.

I first tried this in my tea of the month box and was immediately hooked. It's light and delicious. The fruit flavor is there but not overwhelming. It's great hot or cold. (Posted on 1/12/2018)

Extremely fruity tea, yet the flavor of the black/green tea comes through, especially when iced or brewed at a slightly lower temperature. I could not identify any fruit or berry specifically, and the spice is faint and not overpowering. Very pretty in a glass jar, and the fragrance fills the room! Seems particularly enjoyable to guests who do not particularly enjoy tea, so good to have on hand! (Posted on 6/25/2016)

There is something heady about mixing black and green tea together. It offers the taste of both teas, which I like. I also like the taste of the combined jackfruit, which offers a nice light flavor to the tea. (Posted on 5/11/2016)

I was excited to find this tea after my original source closed; which I used to mix, to wonderful effect, with a specialty jade oolong!
There seems to be extra flavoring added in this Pearl of Fruits, which I could've done without. There's a beautiful, floral note that comes through, along with the orange peel. Pretty to look at (just like the picture) and a great taste. Mmm, so good! And the 8oz bag is filled to the brim. (Posted on 3/30/2015)
