Guayusa contains theobromine, a stimulant commonly found in chocolate, and L-theanine, a compound found in green tea that has been shown to reduce physical and mental stress.Guayusa is an herb and is related to Yerba Mate. It is indigenous to South America, and can be found in tropical regions. Because it contains caffeine, natives nick named it ‘Night Watcher Tea’ – they consumed this beverage while monitoring game trails, which helped them keep alert during long boring hours.

an excellent cup!Review by Sarah

Im not a huge green tea drinker, but this is one of my very favorites in that category. I love the cheerfulness of this cup: it never fails to hit the spot! Excellent depth and layering of flavor, mellow and not biting in any way. It is fruity and bright - a treat with a touch of rock sugar! Highly recommend. (Posted on 10/25/2017)

I am not a huge fan of guayusa, but this is the perfect blend! Light and refreshing, no bitter overtones. Good day or night. Also makes a great iced tea. (Posted on 9/4/2017)

I found that this tea does make me happier! The smell, the taste, and the caffeine all do a job of perking me up. I work third shift, and this tea helps me keep up with all the demands heaped on me all night. (Posted on 4/27/2016)
DelightfulReview by Wendy
Just a whiff of this tea will put you in a happier place honestly. It has a hint of sweet and tangy as the description states but the taste is not overpowering in either direction. It is an odd in between tea that is not crazy strong but it has a taste you cannot miss. I would give a 5 of 5. (Posted on 12/9/2015)

My FavoriteReview by Heather
I am new to the world of loose teas so I have not had the opportunity to try a wide range of teas. so far I have tried about 10 different teas and I have found that I prefer black flavored teas. However, I absolutely love the Happy Tea! I have to say that this is my favorite, which makes me want to move out of my comfort zone of Black and Chai teas. While drinking this tea I feel just as the title says, Happy. The simple smell of this tea is enough to make me smile and my mouth water. If I had other people around me that drank tea I would urge them to try this. The price is a little steep for me, but it is absolutely worth every penny! (Posted on 3/19/2014)
