Description

Liza Hill, part of the premium section of the Risheehat plantation. This Chinese clonal variety has flowery, delicately aromatic qualities with some underlying spiciness. Its complex flavor makes it a sought-after variety at tea auctions.

Customers praised this organic oolong tea for its "floral" and "subtle" flavor profile. Many described it as "a perfect cup of tea" and a "staple" in their collection. The tea steeps well multiple times with consistent quality. Some noted the flavor lacks distinctiveness compared to other options, while others felt it was too subtle for stronger tea preferences.

Disappointing

Although the Lisa Hill Estate Darjeeling dry leaf is bold and looks promising, the infusion lacks anything distinctive in flavor and aroma. The Whistling Kettle’s standard, blended Darjeeling, also a Lisa Hill Estate product, is just as good for half the price.

Magical

A little floral, a little sweet, not at all overbearing. A perfect cup of tea.

Excellent oolong. I ordered a sample to try, and will be definitely ordering a 4oz bag.

Absolute favorite

Darjeeling Oolong is a staple in my tea collection; very high quality and the second steep is just as nice as the first.

fragrant Darjeeling

Enjoyable cup of Darjeeling tea today. Steeped 3 min as noted and very pleasant aroma and flavor. Will need to order more for Fall and Winter days. Pleased to find such wonderful Darjeeling.

Subtle flavor

As Darjeeling goes, this has a nice subtle taste but I guess I lean toward a stronger more am dominant tea. A good tea just not for me.

Best of two qualities...

I love this tea so much because of its sophistication of Darjeeling while enjoying the health benefits of high quality Oolong. One of my must-have teas.

Perhaps my favorite tea

Simply a great tea! I might recommend just a slightly higher temperature than recommended, and while one teaspoon is good for 3 brewings, I would increase the brew time by 10 seconds or so on the third brew.

Fresh, high quality teas here!

Each person will have their preferences. I have been an Earl Grey fan for years and I use macha for smoothies. Recently I've begun exploring other teas and combinations of teas. I found that macha can be added to black tea, tastes good and is even more healthy that way. Green and black go good together. I often make my hot teas with rice milk or with milk from pasture raised cows. I make it very strong and like it that way. In these warmer days I make black ice teas with lemon of course and I really love the hibiscus, Wow!

So it really is an individual preference what you chose and how you brew it, with innumerable possibilities. But you know that. So all I can say that really serves as a review of value for a perspective customer is why I continue to patronize The Whistling Kettle; Freshness and high quality coupled with fair prices. These people are all about tea. I did my searching and sampling. Now, I need only to return here for the best to enjoy without looking any further. That's it.

Delicious Tea!

I have been a coffee drinker for most of my life. My introduction to drinking hot tea was darjeeling a few years ago. I have tried different brands through the years but the Oolong Darjeeling from the Whistling Kettle is amazing! I look forward to having it every afternoon. It never disappoints. I highly recommend this tea to all tea lovers!

Unique Floral Note

This tea met its description in being floral forward, and did remind me of some darjeeling black teas I've had. It's not my favorite, but it's good.
