Nothing beats the summer heat like a tall glass of iced tea. But along with summer can come some fast-paced days when you really just don't have time and need something quick and convenient. We're not saying making iced tea is difficult or time consuming, because if you've followed our instructions on how to make iced tea, you know that it's a piece of cake (or tea..?). When you pre-batch some instant iced tea cubes, enjoying a cup of iced tea simply doesn't get easier! Just pop your ice cubes into a drinking glass, pour over some cold water and enjoy! The best part? If you drink it before the ice melts, just add more water for another glass!
Say goodbye to watered down iced tea
Who else hates when their iced tea gets watered down by the addition of ice cubes? With these instant iced tea cubes, you never have to worry about your iced tea being watered down again!
These concentrated instant iced tea cubes make it quick and easy to make a glass of iced tea. Using a strong iced tea concentrate as the base of the ice cubes, when you pour your cold water over them you can be assured the result will be a refreshing, full flavored iced tea that has never been easier to make!
Transform your water
Drinking water daily is a must and adding a few instant iced tea cubes can turn that plain glass of water into a wonderful tasting iced tea along with extra antioxidants and nutrients. This can be a great way to increase your daily water intake, especially for those who prefer something flavored over plain water. Making small changes to your daily routine can result in big changes for your overall health and wellness.
Choose your tea
For this recipe, we used our Casablanca fruit tisane. This colorful fruit tea is an addictive combination of berries and tropical fruits. Sweet kiwi, tangy raspberry, tart hibiscus, and fresh strawberry mingle in this caffeine-free blend. A sprinkle of dainty rose petals, sunny safflower and blue cornflower makes Casablanca an alluringly beautiful tea.
Feel free to use any tea you want - just be sure to adjust the steeping times according to that tea's instructions. We highly recommend using a fruit tisane such as Strawberry Guava or Lotta Colada for the strongest flavor and fastest infusion.
Instant Iced Tea Cubes
- Servings: 4-6
- Yield: 1-2 ice cube trays
What You'll Need
- The Conflicted Iced Tea Brewer
- 5 tbsp Casablanca Fruit Tisane Loose Tea
- 24oz hot filtered water
- 1-2 ice cube tray
- Sweetener (optional)
Steeping Instructions
STEP 1
Add 5 tbsp Casablanca fruit tisane into your infuser basket.
STEP 2
Pour 24oz hot 212 F filtered water over your infuser basket.
STEP 3
Let steep for 15 minutes, then remove the infuser basket. If you like your iced tea sweetened, stir in your sweetener after removing your infuser.
STEP 4
Let concentrate sit until it reaches room temperature.
IMPORTANT NOTES
You do not want to top off your pitcher with water after steeping for this recipe - keep your tea concentrate strong so that when you pour water over your ice cubes, you don't get a watered-down result.
Instructions
Step 1
Create an iced tea concentrate with your tea of choice (follow steeping instructions above).
Step 2
After concentrate has cooled, pour into your ice cube mold.
Step 3
Put mold into the freezer and allow to set overnight.
Step 4
Remove your ice cubes as needed, adding your desired amount into a drinking glass.
Step 5
Pour some cold, filtered water over your ice cubes and enjoy!
