The Whistling Kettle opened in 2004 in downtown Ballston Spa, NY - only minutes from Albany and Saratoga Springs. Our vision was to combine an on-line shop, a loose tea and accessories shop and a full service tea room complete under one roof. In hindsight, this was the most difficult of paths - however it has brought us enormous rewards and allowed us to become a premiere destination spot as well as expand our on-line business.

Our philosophy at our restaurant is to break the perception that tea is only for women, and our tastefull, classically appointed atmosphere emphasizes this. Our menu offers traditional tea faire, but also a variety of other menu items guaranteed to satisfy you. Our location also includes a tea shop that offers all the merchandise you see here. Because of our volume, we are now able to offer more teas and products than ever before.

Both our store and website underwent significant renovations in 2011 improve our surroundings and provide better customer service. While we are leaders in the tea field, we still offer personalized customer service that many of the mega on-line stores or mall operations cannot provide.
